Hi, my name is Nanette, and I’m a registered nurse. But when you’re married to the director of a fantastic insurance brokerage you are inspired to do more. I mainly work as a nurse, however I do anything else that needs doing for Thrive. That could include marketing, medical underwriting or simply sending your birthday card.
When I’m not nursing or keeping busy with Thrive-related activities you could find me discovering how green my thumb really is, that is, in the garden. I also enjoy travelling and motorcycling.
For the last 3 years I have been working and throughly enjoying the insurance industry focusing on solutions for local families and businesses. Prior to this I spent 8 years in local government with a strong people focus. Approaching 14 years in Palmerston North, I love living and raising my family in the Manawatu and am proud to be involved within the region in a number of ways both professionally and personally. My time in insurance and Council has seen me gain a wide experience and has provided me with the experience and ability to analyse and respond to a number of different situations.
In my personal life I am married with two amazing children, a 4 year old daughter and a 10 year old step son. I thoroughly enjoy sport and music and have close ties to my Maori heritage and family connections in Taranaki. I also volunteer my time to a variety of organisations in the Manawatu.
