Meet Kris, Adviser Development Manager at Thrive.

Kris Towgood, Adviser Development Manager.

Hi, Iā€™m Kris!

I am the Adviser Development Manager here at Thrive. I Specialise in the development and growth of advisers within the Thrive network while providing support, expertise and experience for adviser needs.

I started my professional career in 2003 when I joined the Farmers Trading Group (department store) as a department team leader. It was the training and leadership experience gained from this group that led me into a pathway of various retail management positions within, and outside of Farmers, and where I found a passion for people and excellent customer service. I joined the insurance profession in 2010 as an insurance broker and successfully operated my own business as a contractor to various Brokerages for over 12 years. This included providing professional service and advice in most areas of insurance from House, Car and Contents to Life, Health and Income Protection. When the opportunity to work with Pierre and the Thrive team presented, it was an exciting way for me to share my service and leadership skills with the Thrive team and clients alike.

I love all sports with Cricket being my passion. I have played cricket for over 25 years and still make a regular appearance for my club during the summers. I am a car enthusiast and enjoy attending car shows, rallys and circuit events. I have a young family and enjoy spending as much time with them out and about, camping, visiting new places and watching them experience new things.

I am also the Club President of my local cricket club, and I have also held a seat on the Management Board for the Wairarapa Cricket Association since 2018.

Every day brings new challenges and accomplishments, some big and some small, but given the opportunity to work with Thrive in the capacity of their Adviser Development Manager is a recognition of all past work accomplishments I've achieved to date. I hold the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services in the Life, Health & Disability stand, with a view of obtaining further recognized education learning within the financial sector.
